Born and raised an Iowa girl, I have those big city ambitions with a small town spirit. I graduated from The University of Iowa in May of 2014 with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication, a minor in International Studies, and a certificate in Entrepreneurial Management.

 

During my time at UI, you would find me acting as co-president for Ed on Campus UIowa, fundraising and creating awareness for UI Dance Marathon, writing and updating social media for the Divison of Student Life, co-founding UI's first online magazine, ICONIC, and exploring different opportunities through various internships and experiences.

 

In my free time I love to do anything involving dogs -- whether that be volunteering at the animal shelter or pet sitting for friends. I absolutely love children and worked as a teacher at a local child care center. One thing I really enjoy is live music (Dave Matthews Band is my favorite)! I am always willing to trying new things just to see if I like them, and think of myself as an adventure-seeker.

 

My number one goal in life is to be happy, and in order to really obtain happiness, I know I need to give back. My ultimate goal and passion is to work for a nonprofit, foundation, or socially responsible business that involves human services for children and/or healthcare. I want to make a positive impact in this life, so join me in my journey!
